Jungle Home, Malaysia

Welcome to my parents home in Malaysia. The house is located near the national zoo in the area called Taman Zooview. Yup the name itself tells you all about the location that we have the view of the Zoo. You are going to ask if we are really close to the zoo… the answer is yes and we do also hear a lot of animals from the zoo. Once a while, we do hear a few escape artist who would venture out of the zoo but they are usually caught fairly quickly. So another question is how come we have English name for some of the places in Malaysia. The answer is that Malaysia during the British Colony era were called Malaya in which Singapura (Singapore) were under the same British Rule. Since we are so diverse in culture, we have a lot of name of places mixed with Malay, Chinese, Indian and English.

Look out.. It’s the jungle behind me….

Someone is Monkeying around…

Don’t worry.. we all live in a real home…

Since we are so close to the jungle, yes, we do see wild animals like the ones below…

If you are curious what kind of monkeys these are, they are called Dusty Leave Monkey.

Below the infant is orange in color instead of the normal brown color as the mother monkey. Apologize for the blurness… mummy monkey moved real fast to avoid me taking her picture.

Sorry for the blurness since the monkey was flying really fast and caught me off guard but i would like to still share the picture.

Some local birds

i believe it’s a common House Sparrow

I believe below are the Black-Naped Oriole birds

I really enjoyed the mama and baby shots of the monkeys, as well as the birds. Go into that jungle and take more photos! Just hope that the natural zoo is strongly protected so that the McMansions don’t keep encroaching into it.
